Closure In Moscow is a progressive rock band based in Australia. The band formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2006. Only 18 months after first forming, they signed to Taperjean Records and released their debut EP (self-proclaimed ‘albumette’) on April 19, 2008, titled The Penance and the Patience. They have established a name for themselves with an array of shows in their home country alongside international acts such as Saosin, Coheed and Cambria, Aiden, A Static Lullaby and Street Drum Corps.

DragonForce is an English power metal band formed in London in 1999. The group is known for its fast paced songs, twin guitar solos, and incorporation of electronic sound effects into their music. A master track of the song “Through the Fire and Flames” is featured in the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and is generally considered to be the most challenging track in the Guitar Hero series. The developers used the song to demonstrate the game at E3. After Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was released, the band’s music sales reportedly increased dramatically.

In this past year, I experienced the unraveling of my marriage and the birth of my first son. It was during this year that I wrote the material for the new record and performed over 150 shows.”

Hawthorne Heights is a post-hardcore band based in America. The band formed in Dayton, Ohio, in June of 2001, their line-up currently consists of vocalist and guitarist JT Woodruff, lead guitarist Micah Carli, bassist and vocalist Matt Ridenour and drummer Eron Bucciarelli. In late 2007, guitarist and vocalist Casey Calvert died of accidental causes, leaving the band as a four-piece. The band, who were originally named A Day in the Life, have released two studio albums on Victory Records since changing their name to Hawthorne Heights.

The Faint is a dance-punk/new wave band. Formed in Omaha, Nebraska, the Faint was originally known as Norman Bailer, a reference to Norman Mailer. The band Norman Bailer also included Conor Oberst, of Bright Eyes, with whom the Faint toured in 2005. He quit shortly after the band was formed, though the Faint continued to share a spot with Bright Eyes on Saddle Creek Records.

The Verve (originally Verve) are an English rock band formed in Wigan, Greater Manchester in 1989 at Winstanley Sixth Form College, by vocalist Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bassist Simon Jones, and drummer Peter Salisbury. Simon Tong later became a member. The band split in April 1999 due to inner conflicts which led to McCabe’s departure. The band’s original line-up reunited in June 2007.
